Deconstructing the news

Visual research and editorial experiment exploring how media and political power shape national identity through representation of Victory Day (9th May) in Russia. Developed as part of the Design and Politics elective at the London College of Communication, the project combined image manipulation, typographic layering, and political commentary to question how commemoration is transformed into propaganda. The outcome — Minute of Silence — visualized the shift from remembrance to spectacle, blending documentary imagery, text, and irony into a critical reflection on collective memory and media narrative.
